Make no mistake! The change in name from Archives of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery to JAMA Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery is not merely a cosmetic alteration. As defined in the joint editorial with Dr Bauchner,1 the creation of The JAMA Network system recognizes the innovations that will occur in the next 6 months and beyond.

The facility of the system to be agile and sensitive to the rapidly changing times in communication and publishing mandated a name change to signify the innovation that has and will take place. I myself have been energized by all the activity that has occurred over the past year and is planned for the future. We work to provide for our readership the best medical information, as quickly as possible, in the most palatable format possible.

I hope you will be as excited about the changes as am I. If so, please let me know, but as importantly, if not, please also share your thoughts and suggestions for improvement. We look forward to your input and scientific submissions; we are only as good as you make us.
