Cutaneous examination revealed a small, erythematous, ulcerated papule, 1.5 cm in diameter (Figure 1). The findings of the rest of the physical examination were unremarkable. The results of routine laboratory investigations, including erythrocyte sedimentation rate, complete blood cell count, automated analysis system profile, and urinalysis, were all within normal limits.
