    Mucocele in Frontal and Ethmoidal Sinuses: Simplified Surgical Treatment. Presented by Dr. H. M. Goodyear, Cincinnati. 
    Mucocele of the paranasal sinuses most frequently involves the ethmoid cells and the frontal sinuses. Since the early symptoms are frequently double vision and swelling of the inner canthus of the eye, the patient may visit the ophthalmologist first and in many cases unfortunately is operated on by an external approach through the orbit. Dr. Goodyear held that this approach is wrong and emphasized the approach through the nose, which is made by a comparatively simple operation. The mucocele is lined with good epithelium, and its contents are usually sterile. By opening a way through the nose the lower surface of the mucocele is removed, but the duct leading into the frontal sinus, which is lined with epithelium, is not disturbed.Dr. Francis L. Weille,
